The Solomon Lab joins the multi-institutional initiative between Clemson, Delaware State, Tulane, and UD to develop CHO biomanufacturing platforms for optimized production of biologics and other drugs. The Solomon Lab brings expertise in epigenomics and genomics to improve product quality and yield. REU positions will be available in summer 2021 for undergraduates. Microbes exhibit tremendous diversity and potential for biotech but only a vanishingly small fraction of it has been explored. Check out Prof. Solomon's musings on the topic in an interview with Forbes.
Congrats to Eli on her Honorable Mention in the Annual Purdue undergraduate research poster symposium. Due to COVID-19, the poster has been recorded for posterity here. Javier joins the Solomon Lab from Ecuador where he work on Team Rumen on all things anaerobic fungi. Welcome! Congratulations to Ethan on his Outstanding PhD Research Awards from the College of Engineering and the Purdue University Interdisciplinary Life Sciences Program.
